Terms
These are the basic terms for using PillBird as a reminder and tracking app. They explain what the app does, what it doesn't do, and what each of us is responsible for.

Using the app
PillBird provides reminders, logging, pack tracking, and educational context for contraception and cycle awareness. By using the app, you agree to use it for its intended purpose and in line with applicable laws.
PillBird does not prescribe medication, diagnose conditions, or replace clinical advice. It is a tool to help you keep a routine, not a medical authority.
Not a medical device
PillBird is not a contraceptive, a medical device, or a diagnostic tool. Reminders and recovery steps are informational and based on general guidance, not a personalized clinical assessment.
Predictions — such as estimated cycle timing — are estimates, not guarantees, and should never be relied on as a sole method of contraception or pregnancy planning.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for following your own prescription, reading the official instructions that came with your medication, and seeking medical advice when you need it.
- Confirm dosing and timing against your prescription and clinician
- Keep your method and schedule details accurate in the app
- Seek professional care for urgent or unclear health situations
Accounts and your data
PillBird is local-first and self-serve. The base app works without sign-in. Firebase Auth is used only when you opt into Plus/payment-linked or other authenticated features, such as cloud sync or account-backed entitlement restore. You are responsible for the device you use it on and for any backups you choose to keep. You can delete your account and data yourself from inside the app at any time.
Subscriptions
PillBird is free for the core experience. Optional premium features may be offered through an in-app subscription billed by Google Play. RevenueCat manages entitlement events, and PillBird's backend may verify signed-in Plus status so access can be restored consistently. Google Play handles renewals, cancellations, refund requests, and refund eligibility for Play Store purchases. PillBird cannot process or guarantee refunds directly; RevenueCat only reports purchase and entitlement status.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep PillBird working reliably, but the app is provided on an as-is basis without a guarantee of uninterrupted service. Features may change, improve, or be removed as the product evolves.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, PillBird is not liable for outcomes that result from missed doses, reliance on reminders, or use of the app in place of professional medical advice. The app is an aid to your routine, not a replacement for your own judgement and your clinician's guidance.
Updates to these terms
If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the in-app copy and revise the date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
